Stories of Christian Persecution | Fatima of Saudi Arabia – YouTube

I wholly support that idea and the conclusion. But, that got me thinking.

What does it look like to be a ‘unto death a Christian’? Is it even possible, when American Christianity is built upon making people comfortable, to be ‘unto death a Christian’? Is Christianity really risky in America?

Jesus said, ““If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple,” (Luke 14.26).

Now, if Jesus is saying that absolutely nothing–not even family or our own lives–can take precedence over our faith in Him, what can we conclude about the 75 percent of American’s who claim to be Christians?  Do quote The Princess Bride, “That word you keep using.  I do not think it means what you think it means.”

Caring for the Persecuted Church

Power Line – Why Dont Christians Care?.

What I do know is that it is much more dangerous to publish a cartoon of Mohammed than to slice apart a Christian with a machete.

It is true we don’t talk enough about the persecuted church.  And, while we are called to endure suffering, why American Christians aren’t more vocal for their government to do something for those Christians.  If our nation is founded on the idea of religious liberty, then you would think we could at least condemn the world wide attacks upon Christians.

One great source for information concerning the plight of the Persecuted Church is Voice of the Martyrs.
